Changing Your Username

ℹ️ You can now log in with either your username or email address.

At this time it isn't possible to directly change your username. If you would like to change it, contact us with your desired new username and we'll change it for you if that name is not taken.

How Does the Point System Work?

We want to reward you for making repeated purchases at Train Video Depot. For every purchase, we issue points based on the dollar amount of the items you buy. The current ratio is Product Price × 5 — e.g. $34.59 × 5 = 173 points (that's 5%).

There are no expiration dates. Points are issued 2–4 days after your order is completed.

⚠️ You must be logged in when you make your purchase to receive points. Make sure you are logged in before selecting your payment method.

What Can I Do With My Points? & How Do I Redeem Them?

Points are treated like cash — every point is worth one penny. They add up faster than you think! For example, 1,494 points = $14.94.

Redeem your points during checkout — both our secure checkout and PayPal.
Points can only be applied to item prices. Sales tax & shipping are excluded.
When using our secure checkout, the points field appears on the Credit Card Payment screen (right after you enter your shipping address).
Tip: If your points cover the full purchase and you have no tax or shipping, use our secure checkout instead of PayPal — it saves several steps.

Are There Any Catches to the Loyalty Program?

Points can only be earned when your order originates on trainvideodepot.com. They cannot be earned or used on phone or mail orders.
We won't take your points away, but we reserve the right to change the earning ratio on future orders.
Points are calculated from product prices only — sales tax, shipping, and gift certificates are excluded.
You may be subject to shipping charges if applying points reduces your order below our free shipping threshold.
When redeeming points, you only earn new points on the portion of the order not covered by redeemed points. Example: a $34.95 DVD paid partly with 1,495 points earns credit on the remaining $20.00.
Points are applied to your account 1–4 days after checkout is complete.
We cannot add points retroactively if you weren't signed in at checkout — so always make sure you're logged in.

Account Settings

You can change your password, email address, and other personal information from the Settings page (linked in the top-right of every page).

To change your password: enter your existing password, then your new password twice and save.

Is Any of My Information Visible to Others?

Your username, state or province, and country are displayed alongside your reviews.

🔒 Your real name, email address, mailing address, and phone number are never revealed, given, or sold to anyone at any time.

What is "My Stuff"?

My Stuff is your personal account hub. It includes:

♡ Wish List — Save items you'd like to purchase later.

📦 My History — View your complete purchase history and order status.
